Please see the tips below to help you prepare and make the application process as straightforward as possible:
1. Know the Minimum Requirements
Education providers set specific minimum requirements for tutors. Fleet Education Services will require, for example, a degree-level qualification as a minimum and experience of working with learners with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND) for Alternative Provision work.
Always review the minimum criteria before applying, whether through a job board or directly on the provider’s website to ensure you are a good match.
2. Update Your CV for Maximum Impact
With the growing demand for tuition, competition among applicants has increased. To stand out, tailor your CV to highlight your relevant teaching or tutoring experience. Providers prioritise applicants with clear education experience, so make sure your CV reflects that. Consider keeping information about your work experience concise, with accurate dates that reflect your time spent with each employer. Don’t forget to also include your location – it helps recruiters identify local tutoring opportunities for you.
3. Prepare for Phone and Video Interviews
As part of a robust process, you should prepare for both phone and video interviews when applying to education providers like Fleet Education Services.
